Nolan Thiessen joins Kelly Scott on WCF Athlete Commission

Three-time Tim Hortons Brier champ and former world champ Nolan Thiessen is one of five new members of the World Curling Federation’s Athlete Commission, it was announced today by the WCF.

Thiessen, who currently serves as a consultant with Curling Canada, joins fellow Canadian Kelly Scott on the commission, which is an independent and consultative body that acts as the voice for elite curlers to the WCF Executive Board, Competitions and Rules Commission and the International Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission.

Competitor Cards Reminder

As a reminder for all teams, Curling Canada requires that competitor cards must be purchased for each competition stream as identified in the Event Details on the event page.  For example, players competing in the U21's, Scotties and Mixed will need to pay the $39 fee for each player(including 5th), for each event.


Swan River, Man. to Host 2018 Canadian Mixed

Canada’s best four-player mixed curling teams will be headed to the Swan Valley in Manitoba to contest a national championship, it was announced today by Curling Canada.

The 2018 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship will be played at the Swan River Curling Club, Nov. 12-18, 2017 — the 55th time the national championship will have been played.

Kingston, Ont., to Host 2017 Travelers Club Championship

Historic Kingston, Ont., will play host to Canada’s best club curling teams in 2017, it was announced today by Curling Canada.

The 2017 Travelers Curling Club Championship will be played Nov. 20-25 at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club.
