Canada Winter Games

The Nova Scotia Curling Association gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Support4Sport program, funded by the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (NSGC).


Held every four years, the Canada Winter Games are a key event in the development of Canada's young athletes. As the best in their age group, these young competitors come to the Games having trained long and hard to be among those chosen to represent their respective province or territory and compete for the Canada Games Flag and Centennial Cup. With the Canada Games poised as a key step in the development of Canada's future stars, Canada Games athletes are Canada's next generation national, international and Olympic champions.

Canada Games 2015

The next Canada Winter Games will take place in Prince George, BC from February 13th to March 1st, 2015. Nova Scotia will send 1 team of 4 female athletes and 1 team of 4 male athletes. Each team will be accompanied by 1 coach. Unlike many previous Games a coach’s gender is not restricted by the team’s gender.

Age Eligibility: Competitors shall be a maximum of 17 years of age on December 31, 2014.
YEAR OF BIRTH: Any athlete born on and since January 1, 1997.

Coaches certification: Coaches named on the official registration form must be fully certified under the National Coaching Certification Program to at least Level 3 (Theory, Technical and Practical), or the equivalent in the new NCCP Competition stream, Development context (Trained status) in Curling. These coaches must be so certified no later than 90 days before the opening of the Games.
