SUMMARY:2024 U11 Provincials
DESCRIPTION:2024 Dates and Locations\n\nProvincial -Dartmouth Curling Club – March 9-11\, 2024 \nQualifications \nAll teams who register will qualify directly to the Provincial Championships. \nPractice and Schedule Info\n\nNSC will make every attempt to release the draw schedule roughly two weeks prior to the event. Teams competing in the event should make the appropriate travel & lodging arrangements to ensure they can be at the venue by 8 am on day the event is scheduled to start in case they have the first pre-event practice or first draw of the event. Events leading to a Canadian Championship and requiring a pre-event practice\, this schedule will be released with the completed draw. In the event there is a larger than expected number of teams and the pre-event practices and/or draw cannot be completed in the time allotted for the event\, then the schedule will be extended the necessary day(s) and practices/draw one will commence on the first scheduled day of the event. Information on pre-event and in event practices can be found here closer to the event. \n\nRules\nThis event is governed by NSC’s Competition Rules and Curling Canada’s Rules for Officiated Play. In the event there is conflicting information provided\, the NSC Competitions Director will make the final decision on which rule(s) will be used. \nNSC’s U11 Competition Rules can be viewed online here. \nChaperone Coaches must have a Criminal Background Check\, Child Abuse Registry and be Safe Sport trained (if you have questions contact jbrothers@nscurl.com) \n\nAge Requirements\nAthletes must be Under 11 as of June 30\, 2023. \nRegistrations \n\nAll information and registration for this event can be found on the Curling I/O page. \nTeams that have registered for the event will be listed in the team section of the event. Complete lineups for teams will only be displayed if each player on the team has a valid Curling I/O profile. All players in Nova Scotia are encouraged to create one. \nDeadline to register: January 24\, 2024 \nCLICK HERE to register. \nEvent Disclaimers:\n\nIf there are less than 8 teams registered for any event at the deadline\, NSCA reserves the right to cancel the event.  All entry fees will be returned. \nNS Curling will follow the Public Health Guidelines and if we are unable to host competition\, entry fees will be returned to the person who paid the entry. \nThe Competition Director reserves the right to change the Event format if less than 6 teams are registered. \nNS Public Health requires all competitors and spectators to show proof of double vaccination prior to enter ring the Curling Club.
