DESCRIPTION:2020 TANKARD CHAMPIONSSkip – Jamie Murphy\, Mate – Paul Flemming\, Second – Scott Saccary\, Lead – Philip Crowell\, Coach – Bruce Lohnes \n\n2020-2021 Dates and Locations\nQualifier – 2 teams via CTRS Events (Based on NS cashspiels listed below for 2020) \nQualifier – Berwick Curling Club\, Berwick\, NS ~ December 10-14\, 2020 \nUpdate (December 2nd\, 2020): Qualifier has been cancelled and the NSCA is working with the host club to offer a 12 team Men’s Provincial Championship. \nProvincial – Bluenose Curling Club\, New Glasglow\, NS ~ January 25-31\, 2021 \nQualifications\nTeams will qualify for the Provincial Final (the Tankard) through 2 CTRS berths and 1 Qualifier. \nQualifier (CTRS): The two (2) teams total team prize money earned in the following 2020 Nova Scotia Cashspiels: 2020 Curling Store Cashspiel (Lakeshore Sept. 25-27)\, New Scotland Cashspiel (CFB Halifax Oct. 10-12)\, Dave Jones Cashspiel (Mayflower Oct. 29 – Nov. 1)\, and Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic (Halifax Curling Club Nov. 12-15) will receive automatic berths into the Provincials. \nQualifier (Berwick Curling Club): The format of play shall be an open-entry triple knockout qualifying six (6) teams to the provincial. \nPractice and Schedule Info\n\nNSC will make every attempt to release the draw schedule roughly two weeks prior to the event. Teams competing in the event should make the appropriate travel & lodging arrangements to ensure they can be at the venue by 8 am on day the event is scheduled to start in case they have the first pre-event practice or first draw of the event. Events leading to a Canadian Championship and requiring a pre-event practice\, this schedule will be released with the completed draw. In the event there is a larger than expected number of teams and the pre-event practices and/or draw cannot be completed in the time allotted for the event\, then the schedule will be extended the necessary day(s) and practices/draw one will commence on the first scheduled day of the event.
