SUMMARY:COMPETITION DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM INFORMATION
DESCRIPTION:As of December 31\, 2013 Level 3 Technical no longer exists\, replacing it will be a new\, comprehensive program called “Competition Development”. The program is being administered and delivered by Curling Canada nationally and is open to all provinces/territories. Our goal is to move the workshop around the country. \nThis program is designed to assist the coach in taking their teams to the next level of provincial\, national or international play.  This workshop focuses on the planning\, strategy\, analysis and program management needed to improve your team’s performance. Coaches should be actively working with a “Training to Compete” level team during this program  There is a small wheelchair curling component\, so coaches working with athletes with a disability would also benefit from this program. \nMost provincial/territorial coaching associations have funding assistance available for competition development training\, tuition and travel costs. \nWhile ice time is minimal in this workshop\, curling gear will be required. \nDuring this training coaches will learn: \n\nCurrent technical skills\nHow to analyze technical and tactical performance\nPerformance planning\nProgram management\nAdvanced strategy\nAdvanced practice planning\nPrevention and recovery (integrated multi-sport module)\nDeveloping athletic abilities (integrated multi-sport module)\n\nThe program will take approximately 14 months to complete\, as it requires writing\, implementing\, executing and debriefing an annual plan. In addition to the annual plan portfolio\, two observation evaluations (a practice and a competitive environment) must be completed.  Five webinars will be scheduled in the fall for material not covered in the in-person workshop. Coaches will need to complete the Competition Development Make Ethical Decision Online Evaluation and will need to complete the four remaining competition development multi-sport modules – Managing Conflict\, Coaching and Leading Effectively\, Psychology of Performance and Leading Drug Free Sport. \nCompetition Development Training Pathway\n \nIf you have interest in participating in the next workshop please email jferris@curling.ca. \nTo register and for additional information please click here. \n  \nRegister View Entries\n Current Entries\n No entries found.

SUMMARY:2020 Mixed Championship
DESCRIPTION:General Info\n\n \nRegistration\nPRESENTING SPONSOR \nNova Scotia Curling is now using Curling Canada’s Curling IO system for all of its events. This is the same system that is used to register teams for all of their events. You are required to have a profile within their system in order to register. Creating an account is easy. You simply use one of your existing social media or email accounts. Once logged in\, you will be able to update your profile & register for any NSC event. \n\nRegistration closes on Feb 21\, 2020 at 11:59 pm \n  \nPractice & Schedule Info\nThe NSC will make every attempt to release the draw schedule roughly two weeks prior to the event. Teams competing in the event should make the appropriate travel & lodging arrangements to ensure they can be at the venue by 8 am on day the event is scheduled to start in case they have the first pre-event practice or first draw of the event. Events leading to a Canadian Championship and requiring a pre-event practice\, this schedule will be released with the completed draw. In the event there is a larger than expected number of teams and the pre-event practices and/or draw cannot be completed in the time allotted for the event\, then the schedule will be extended the necessary day(s) and practices/draw one will commence on the first scheduled day of the event. Information on pre-event and in event practices can be found here. \n  \n\n\nRules\nThis event is governed by NSC’s Competition Rules and Curling Canada’s Rules for Officiated Play. In the event there is conflicting information provided\, the NSC Competitions Director will make the final decision on which rule(s) will be used. \nNSC’s Competition Rules can be viewed online. \nAge Requirements\nThere is no age restriction to play in this event. \n\n\n  \n  \nRELIVE CHAMPIONSHIP MOMENTS\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nSchedule & Registered Teams\n\n \nPRESENTING SPONSOR \nAll information for this event can be found on the Curling IO page. \nTeams that have registered and have been approved for entry into the event will be listed in the team section of the event.  Complete lineups for teams will only be displayed if each player on the team has a valid Curling IO profile.  All players in Nova Scotia are encouraged to create one. \n\nPast Champions\n\n \n\n\n\n\n	YearWinning ClubSkipThirdSecondLeadCoachCC\n\n\n\n\n	2025HalifaxBrent MacDougallErin CarmodyChris JeffreyJenn Mitchell\n\n\n	2024HalifaxOwen PurcellChristina BlackAdam McEachrenJenn Baxter\n\n\n	2023HalifaxPaul FlemmingMarlee PowersLuke SaundersColleen Jones\n\n\n	2022HalifaxPaul FlemmingMarie ChristiansonScott SaccaryJill Brothers\n\n\n	2021TruroCraig BurgessColleen PinkneyTodd BurgessShelley MacNutt\n\n\n	2020None due to COVID\n\n\n	2019NSCAPeter BurgessColleen JonesLuke SaundersLindsey Burgess\n\n\n	2018MayflowerKendal ThompsonMarie ChristiansonBryce EveristKarlee Jones\n\n\n	2017DartmouthBrent MacDougallChristina BlackGraham BreckonJennifer Crouse\n\n\n	2016MayflowerPaul FlemmingChristie GambleTyler GambleTeri Udle\n\n\n	2015WindsorDoug MacKenzieJocelyn NixRichard BarkerShelley Barker\n\n\n	2014MayflowerBrent MacDougallChristina BlackKris GranchelliJane Synder\n\n\n	2013MayflowerRob HarrisMary MattatallCameron MacKenzieKatarina Hakasson\n\n\n	2012MayflowerBrent MacDougallChristina BlackKris GranchelliJane Synder\n\n\n	2011MayflowerPaul FlemmingKelly MacIntoshGlen McLeodTheresa Breen\n\n\n	2010MayflowerChris SutherlandKelly MacIntoshGlen McLeodJennifer Crouse\n\n\n	2008MayflowerMark DaceyHeather Smith-DaceyDavid StephensonLisa Stephenson\n\n\n	2009MayflowerMark DaceyHeather Smith-DaceyAndrew GibsonJill Mouzar+\n\n\n	2007TruroPeter BurgessColleen PinkneyChuck PatriquinShelley MacNutt\n\n\n	2006DartmouthMike RobinsonTracey LeslieOwen GrahamDenice Nicholson\n\n\n	2006BridgewaterBrian RafuseLaura FultzDave SlauenwhiteAlexis Sinclair \n\n\n	2005MayflowerPaul FlemmingMelanie ComstockAlan CameronHayley Clarke\n\n\n	2004MayflowerSteve OgdenMonica MoriartyJack RobarMarg Cutcliffe\n\n\n	2003MayflowerPaul FlemmingKim KellyTom FetterlyCathy Donald+\n\n\n	2002MayflowerMark DaceyHeather Smith-DaceyRob HarrisLaine Peters+\n\n\n	2001MayflowerMark DaceyHeather Smith-DaceyRob HarrisLaine Peters\n\n\n	2000MayflowerMark DaceyHeather Smith-DaceyRob HarrisLaine Peters\n\n\n\n\n \nRegister View Entries\n Current Entries\n No entries found.
