Teams competing in the event should make the appropriate travel & lodging arrangements to ensure they can be at the venue by 8 am on day the event is scheduled to start in case they have the first pre-event practice or first draw of the event. Events leading to a Canadian Championship and requiring a pre-event practice\, this schedule will be released with the completed draw. In the event there is a larger than expected number of teams and the pre-event practices and/or draw cannot be completed in the time allotted for the event\, then the schedule will be extended the necessary day(s) and practices/draw one will commence on the first scheduled day of the event. \nInformation on pre-event and in event practices can be found here. \nRules\nThis event is governed by the NSCA’s Competition Rules and Curling Canada’s Rules for Officiated Play. DESCRIPTION:2017 RTO Provincial Bonspiel\nDecember 1-2\, 2017\nShelburne Curling Centre\n144 John Street (attached to the arena) Shelburne\, NS \nMaximum registration: 12 teams. All teams must have at least 2 RTO\, NSTU or active substitute members.\nEach team is guaranteed 3 six end games. There will be cash prizes for the 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place teams as well as several special and door prizes and a 50/50 draw.\nRegistration is $100 per team and includes live entertainment and snacks Friday evening as well as muffins & coffee and a chili lunch provided on Saturday. SUMMARY:TCA Youth Championship
DESCRIPTION:The 37th annual TCA Youth Championship will be held in Oshawa from December 27-29 and features an exciting prize purse. This year’s tournament will feature an opening ceremony on December 28\, as well as the first ever gender-neutral TCA Youth Awards.\nAward Ceremony \nThe award ceremony on December 29 will feature performances by recoding artist Viktoria Leone. Location will be announced closer to the Championship. Awards that will be presented are the following: \n    Sportsmanship\n    Most Valuable Player\n    Most Outstanding Coach \nTickets for the awards are available for parents and community members. Tickets are limited. Click HERE to purchase parents and community members tickets.\nHost Hotel \nGroup rates have been set up at the Holiday Inn Oshawa. Rates can be booked by using the Group Code CUR when clicking HERE.\nGiving Back \nA portion of the proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to select community organizations.
