Born in Manitoba, Gerry is a great leader, shot maker and sweeper, and is the man who introduced the slide delivery to the game in Nova Scotia.
He skipped five rinks to the Nova Scotia Curling Championship. He has skipped in the provincial championships at the Halifax Curling Club in 1944 and 1945, Sydney Curling Club in 1948, and the Truro Curling Club in 1955 and 1956.
