The Jones rink out of Halifax Curling Club captured the 2018 AMJ Campbell Under 21 Women’s Championship on the weekend. The team of Lindsey Burgess, Karlee Burgess, Kristin Clarke, Kaitlyn Jones and coach Andrew Atherton, posted wins of 9-4 (Team Stephanie Carson – Berwick CC); 10-3 (Team Kaylee Nodding – Bridgewater CC); 8-5 (Team Cally Moore – CFB Halifax CC); 5-4 (Team Kaylee Nodding); 8-6 (Team Isabelle Ladouceur – Lakeshore CC); and 6-2 (Team Cally Moore), en route to the championship.
The Jones team now advances to represent Nova Scotia at the 2018 Canadian Junior (Under-21) Women’s Curling Championship in Shawinigan, Que., being held Jan. 13-21.
