Deloitte, one of Canada’s leading professional services firms, will present NS most prestigious curling event, the Nova Scotia Men’s Provincial Curling Championship. The championship, now knows as the Deloitte Tankard, will be held at the Mayflower curling Club, January 23-29, alongside the women’s provincial championship known as the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Harris also is an accomplished curling, having represented Nova Scotia as the 5th player for Mark Dacey’s Brier Championship and 2004 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship Bronze Medalist team. Most recently, Harris chaired the host committee at the 2015 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship, which was held at the Halifax Metro Centre.

the Deloitte Tankard will feature the province’s top eight men’s teams who will compete for the right to represent Nova Scotia at the 2017 Tim Horton’s Brier, which will be held in St. John’s, Newfoundland, March 3-12. Two teams – skipped by Stuart Thompson and Chad Stevens – have pre-qualified for the provincial championship based on points accumulated at World Curling Tour events throughout the season. The remaining six teams will be decided at the Qualifier Play-downs, which will be held January 5-9 at the Bluenose Curling Club in New Glasgow, NS.
The Deloitte Tankard will be held simultaneously alongside the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, January 23-29, which will feature women’s curling teams shipped by defending champion Jill Brothers, Mary-Anne Arsenault, Kristen MacDiarmid, Julie McEvoy, Theresa Breen, Nancy McConnery, Mary Mattatall, and Christie Gamble. Tickets are available for purhcase at the Mayflower Curling Club at 3000 Monaghan Drive in Halifax.
