Recreational Wheelchair Curling to Begin Season on October 2nd, 2021
The recreational wheelchair curling program will start for the year on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at the Lakeshore Curling Club in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.
Curlers who are interested can contact us through the Facebook page, Nova Scotia Wheelchair Curling, or by emailing [email protected].
The program will be held from 3.00pm to 5.00pm, every Saturday during the season with a few exceptions. There will be no curling when the club has events. The cost for the entire season will be $99.00.
On October 9th, 2021 any new wheelchair curlers who wish to come out and try it for the first time can do so. It is absolutely free to try it that day. No equipment is needed except your wheelchair, a warm jacket, and gloves. (It is not the park or the beach). Please no open-toed shoes.
Please spread the word so all persons know of this opportunity. Bring a neighbor or a friend. Help them get over their reluctance. The facility is served by Access A Bus for those who need transportation. Questions will be answered by posting to this site or by sending a private Facebook message.
It would be nice to know so we can be prepared. Give yourself a chance. Meet new friends, do something different, learn a new skill, and how to be a team player.
