Nova Scotia’s Mary Mattatall captured the silver medal at the Canadian senior women’s curling championship at Stratford, Ont., on Thursday.
The Lakeshore team that also includes third Margaret Cutcliffe, second Jill Alcoe-Holland and lead Andrea Saulnier, advanced to the gold medal game with a 6-4 win over British Columbia in the morning semifinal.
Mattatall opened with four in the third end, but Anderson who claimed the gold medal picked away with a deuce in the fourth, single points in the fifth and sixth and another deuce in the seventh end.
